Lifecycle
- Breed in Autumn.
- Pups are born early Summer - one pup is born to each female.
- Fruit bats tend to live in large colonies. One male usually lives with up to eight females.
Habits
- Location - Dense forest areas.
- Visibility - They are nocturnal, generally seen hanging from trees by their feet during the day.
- Feeding - Fruits and nectar from flowers, they will eat leaves when fruit and flowers are in short supply.
